Still Life Photographer · Creative Director
Giorgio Cravero has photographed objects for a living since 2000.
After a degree in Visual Communication at Istituto Europeo di Design, he opened his own practice and made still life his territory: the discipline of building an image in the studio, piece by piece, until nothing in the frame is accidental.
His photographs are constructed around light, material and detail. A reflection placed by hand, a surface lit until it reveals its grain, a composition refined to the millimeter. When people enter the frame, they enter as a gesture: a hand reaching for the object, a moment of use, a sense of scale. The object remains the protagonist.
In 2012, after two years as a partner, he took over Studio Blu in Turin, one of Italy’s most respected still life studios.
His work has been recognized internationally:
Since 2015 his practice has included motion, with a team delivering video and stills to the same standard.
At the end of 2023 he co-founded Different Studio, a creative boutique in Muralto, Switzerland. The studio works with brands and agencies on tailor-made photography and film, with a particular focus on the luxury market.
In parallel, he mentors photographers and creative professionals, sharing the methodology built over his career.
He has been a Fujifilm GFX Ambassador since 2019.
